This beat was named after a particular Sociology class in which the professor discussed whether or not the global economy is a zero sum game. I look at the music business and I don’t feel that it is a zero sum game; in other words, I don’t feel that if one artist sells a CD, it means that another artist lost a sale. I chose this beat to be the vessel for that sentiment. I was studying Dilla’s music one day and wanted to sample a song he had sampled in one of my favorite instrumentals of his. I dug up the sample and this was my response to Dilla. I have performed this beat several times with good results. The kick drum sounds especially good on loud club speakers. The drums were designed in Maschine and the rest in Acid Pro.
